Old family photos make wonderful memory quilts
What we do is prepare your photographs for printing on fabric and then print them in the highest possible quality using a special fabric printer and pigment inks that will stay fresh and vibrant for at least 60 years. The fabric itself is 100% cotton, 200 thread count, ideal for quilting and other fabric projects. Typically, the process is:
1: You provide us with the images you want printed on fabric. The images can be prints, negatives or digital files. You tell us the size you would like each picture to be.
2: If they are prints or negatives, we convert the images to digital (computer) format using a high quality Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner.
3: We edit each image using Photoshop Elements 9.0 software to optimize its color and clarity. We can also retouch the picture to crop out unwanted elements or fix flaws, if you want.
4. We provide you with a proof sheet (printed on the same printer used for the fabric), printed on a special paper that is very similar to how the image will look on fabric.
5: After receiving your corrections and changes, we print the images on fabric using an Epson Stylus Pro 3880 printer. Typically, delivery will be by US Postel Service Priority Mail.
